A few may be hesitant to admit it, but dogs undeniably have an indescribable charm that can even strike the mightiest of hearts of the bravest military soldiers out there. It doesn’t matter whether it belongs to the big, sturdy kind or cute, fluffy breed. For people who regard their dogs not only as a trustworthy companion but also as a best friend, a son or daughter, or a brother, it all boils down to the warmth we always feel every time our furry four-legged pals greet us eagerly home.
We smile at the sight of our dog approaching us cheerfully and wagging its tail after a day’s work. Can you even imagine how it would feel being away from home for months, devoid of the hugs, or smooches, or playful bark one gets from our dogs?
Dogs are very similar to soldiers if one would actually think about it a little more deeply. They are very loyal to their owners, as are soldiers to their country. If they have to, dogs can run at lightning speed out of the car or house just to run over his master and greet him ecstatically. They can’t contain their excitement at the sound of their master’s voice, saying, “I’m home.”
Such is showcased by a heart-warming video of dogs welcoming home their military owners. Check out the video below and see for yourself how moments of reunion with their dogs can bring about joy to soldiers separated from their best friends for months of military deployment.
A tearjerker it may seem (prepare a tissue now!), but that’s how it is: lots of affection, licks and hugs, and welcoming enthusiasm. With all the strife our soldiers may have gone through, these valiant men and women truly deserve the à la festival greeting they are getting from their dogs.
