We just found a brilliant post that lists 46 signs and symptoms that your dog is sick – and we had to share! This is great information and it could save your dog’s life one day, so please check out the page. The link follows after our introduction to the topic.
When we were kids, back in the days before the internet was widely used (and Google was non-existent!) this information was not easily available. We were told nothing more complex than that if the dog had a hot nose, he was unwell. However this is now not considered a reliable indicator of health or body temperature: A proper dog thermometer is needed.
Here’s another great tip: Make sure you have a phone number for the vet and keep it somewhere handy, so that in case your pet is unwell, you can call right away and possibly save some time when it is most important. What would be the point of having emergency phone numbers if you can’t find them quickly in an emergency? 😉
Ok here is the link to the original list of ways to tell that your dog is sick: http://www.doghealth.com/how-to/how-to-tell-if-your-dog-is-sick
What do you think of this list? Have any other tips for the folks? Please let us know on our Facebook page or in the comments – and please share our image with your dog-loving friends on Pinterest or Facebook! 🙂
Note – please bear in mind that this list is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, nor is it an exhaustive list of every possible symptom.
