by Meet Zuzi, a homeless dog who was living in the parking lot of a company. She was rescued by Howl of A Dog, a small nonprofit animal rescue organization which aims to rescue abandoned, neglected and abused dogs from the streets or from local kill-shelters and to find them suitable and loving homes.
According to her rescuers, getting near her was hard because of prior traumatic experiences with dogcatchers who tried to catch her using brutal methods. This led her to be cautious and aggressive towards humans. Every time someone went near her, she would bark defensively and even tried to bite on of her rescuers. Those dogcatchers really must have been awful.
In the shelter, Zuzi learned to trust people again. According to those who know her, she is very friendly with other dogs and cats and she also loves to be cuddled. Soon after her rescue, Zuzi was adopted by a family and now lives in Canada.
