VIDEO: Dog vs Balloons

When confronted with a challenge to burst 74 multicolored balloons in a minute, can your dog pop them all? Well, a certain YouTube star can exactly do that! Meet Simon: A white spotted dog with incredibly honed skills – who can’t just turn up his nose and walk away from a group of unbursted latex orbs sitting in his way.

With first-rate agility to get the job done swiftly and a methodical approach in his work, Simon can leave the floor completely devoid of balloons in less than a minute. Well, to be accurate, 57 seconds! We can even say he has some knife-life teeth that can easily pierce the defense of any balloon. He strikes at balloons with a vengeance, going from one to another without batting an eyelash. And Simon definitely loves bursting those balloons (one can tell from how he wags his tail, especially at the sight of his completed balloon annihilation).

Come to think of it, you wouldn’t exactly want Simon to be at your birthday party. After all, setting up those colorful balloons would seem to be a waste when a dog like Simon who always savors victory over balloons is around… Not that Simon dislikes parties. He just wants some balloon-popping action to make his day!

Simon indeed has come a long way from his days of being a balloon-popping amateur. He has perfected his techniques and has gained some attention from his fans worldwide. Of course, his training has enhanced his inherent abilities. Dogs by nature can comprehend the concept of “obligation” and can learn some skills quickly through a reward and motivation system from training. They have always astonished us with their capability to perform ingenious ways of doing things.

VIDEO: Skateboarding Dog

Can you imagine the strange feeling when you actually realize that a dog can be much cooler than you. Want proof? Here’s a video by rnickeymouse that would likely make you practice some decent skateboarding for shame’s sake (or out of inspiration). 🙂

Check out Tillman, a Bulldog with superb, badass skateboarding skills that have earned him an iPhone commercial. That’s definitely impressive, don’t you think? Not all dogs – even humans – can be in a commercial in their lifetime, let alone an iPhone advertisement. Tillman clearly oozes coolness that others actually liken him to Tony Hawk, an inarguably influential skateboarding legend.

Yes, Tillman is the “Tony Hawk” of the dog kingdom. Look at how he flips and rides his skateboard and takes over the street, hoarding a huge amount of attention for himself from a group of co-skateboarders, bicyclists, and passersby! He doesn’t care and just does his thing, even if there are some jealous, awed, or inspired eyes transfixed on him. The video was shot in Venice Beach, California, when Tillman was still a little over a year old.

Bulldogs are mistakenly portrayed in contemporary media as pugnacious, aggressive bullies and the ultimate “cat haters.” I guess most of us can remember Spike from the Tom and Jerry series, which we all had fun watching during our child days. More than anything, Spike disapproves of Tom, the cat, and beats him up when the cat messes up with him for silly reasons. He has a soft spot for Jerry, the mouse, though. This is completely contrary to what bulldogs accurately are. They have a docile and gentle disposition and are protective, friendly, and courageous. Like all dogs, with proper training, a bulldog can be taught to understand basic commands and learn even tricks. Because of Tillman, the skateboarding dog, it becomes crystal clear that we cannot underestimate what dogs can do. They can surprise us in many way… Who knows? Your dog might be the next superstar!

VIDEO: The Worlds First Driving Dog

Well if you think you have seen it all, you might want to look at this super-fun video by TheDrivingDogs. This is an amazing demonstration of the level of training that a dog can handle, when partnered with a highly skilled trainer. Just wait ’til the part where the dog handles the turn, it’s pure delight! I promise you will laugh out loud. Unreal! How does he manage to look so chill?

The car was no doubt specially modified – and I’m sure that there are serious safety limits in place such as engine governing, and I’m also sure that there’s absolutely no way that you could do this on the street… but it makes you wonder whether in the future, all the chauffeurs will be hounds. For some reason it seems curiously appropriate. I’m picturing him honking and barking at someone cutting a wrong move in front of him.

Well, our canine friend seems to drift off the track by the end. I’m not sure that he has quite grasped the connection between steering and the direction of the car – but one day maybe he will be doing complete circuits.

I’m sure it most likely doesn’t need to be said but I’m going to say it anyway – don’t try this at home folks. Instead, just sit back and watch the fun form the comfort of your own home…. ok here’s the video:
